Customer-No-Service Approach To Checkouts Backfires: Self-Service Lanes Slash Impulse Buying...from Dovark Uncensored


When living in Florida, I used to go Wal-Mart early and i do mean EARLY in the morning to the discount department store and i noticed that it's only one (1) cashier and many of these so called "self check out lanes were open...now I'm a geek true and true but i HATE those self check out lanes. I told my wife that Wal-Mart and other stores are trying to train customers to use these hideous "self check out" lanes instead of going through a regular check out lane and now it seems to be having a negative effect when it comes to shopping...GOOD.
