Devotion & Reflections for Monday...May 28th

These two devotions may speak to someone heart today. One is on forgiving yourself and the other when we know the people we love and cherish have giving their lives to Christ Jesus and you have as well, you will see them again. It's really weird for me now. Coming up as a child I loved novels that dealt with traveling to the future and wanted to space travel to other galaxies and planets but in the back of my mind I wondered if it there was life after death. As a child I did not fully understand the book of Revelation but some things always stuck out to me when I would hear about the "streets paved with Gold" and all of the rubies and emeralds that lined the walls. Knowing that God will create a new heaven and new earth sounded pretty cool.

One one on forgiveness from In Touch Ministries hits on three true points because Satan makes many believers feel that we can not live up to God's standards, that we are not perfect...and he (Satan) is right. We can not do this on our own because we are fallen nature because of Adam and Eve be we are washed clean day in and day out by the blood of Jesus Christ. I know I am going to screw up from time to time...on purpose and by trial and error but I know that when I go to my heavenly father with heart wide open and true repentance in my heart and confess from my mouth God forgives me time and time again. This is not to say I can live my life anyway I choose because my mind is not my own, my body is not my body anymore because I have given myself over to Christ Jesus and it's a WONDERFUL thing because I can not compete with Satan by myself...but as Christ as my leader and I obey what Jesus Christ tells me to do, I'm a winner each and every time.

The second devotion that comes from rbc ministries let's us know that when we say goodbye to loves one and we are both true Followers of Jesus Christ it's not really "Goodbye", it's "Goodbye for now." ^_^ Knowing that we do see one another again will be so wonderful, so much joy. To know that we will not have to suffer no more pain, no more diseases, no more decent, just pure happiness and being in the presence of God is truly a wonderful thing. This is the wonderful beauty of living a Christian life, not only does God want you and I as Christians not to worry where we go when we die but to have a wonderful life here on earth as well. I have said time and time again that many non believers think that being a Follower of Christ Jesus is a "restrictive" life but that is a lie from Satan himself...it's one of the most liberating life to live.
